The Junior Academy of the Global STEM Alliance is a program developed to engage gifted and talented high school students around the world in STEM. The Junior Academy connects these students to premier educational opportunities, mentoring, a community of their peers, and support networks to encourage their pursuit of careers in STEM. Key components of the program include coursework on the latest methods of scientific research and opportunities for students to exercise their skills in real-world experiences, such as open innovation challenges and research experiences. Once accepted into the program, participants in The Junior Academy become Junior Members of The New York Academy of Sciences, which entitles them to free access to selected Academy content and a digital Membership Certificate which is shareable on social media.
